The Position of Salafiyyah Concerning Refutation and Criticism

This article exposes those who work with innovators whilst claiming to rectify them, it also clarifies why it is from our ’aqeedah to accept and follow the scholars’ criticism and refutation of the innovators. This is indeed a death blow to the personalities in the West who use enchanting, spell binding speech to mesmerize the minds of laymen Muslims into thinking refuting the innovators is harmful. Shaykhul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (d.728H) – rahimahullaah – said: ‘‘Ordering with the Sunnah and prohibiting from the innovation is ordering the good and prohibiting from the evil.  And it is the most virtuous of righteous actions.’’
